The Image and Analysis Unit [IAU] has a portfolio of local and national companies that have used its facilities to investigate and answer a wide spectrum of problems and issues, ranging from Pharma-based production issues to engineering and design. The combination of staff expertise covering the broad subject areas of biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering provides the necessary knowledge for a multidisciplinary approach to a range of applications and challenges faced by both internal and external clients.
The IAU's interaction with local companies was recognised through the success of Allergy Therapeutics in the 2006 Sussex Business Enterprise Awards for the best interaction between Business and a Sussex-based university. This award acknowledged the long-term success and input of the IAU, including a Knowledge Transfer Partnership and numerous research fellowships, required to help solve a range of R&D and production-based problems faced by Allergy Therapeutics.
Every reasonable effort is taken by the IAU to provide high quality reliable results within time-scales to meet industry demands.
