Biography
Dipak Sarker started off his academic life as a chemist and chemical engineer before completing a PhD in physical chemistry (physics) in 1995. After several years of post-doctoral and lecturing work at universities and research institutes in France and Germany he took up a position in the School of Pharmacy at the University of Brighton. His academic activities at Brighton cover aspects of pharmaceutics, physical pharmacy, pharmaceutical analysis and areas of surface and colloid science (nanotechnology) developed during doctoral and post-doctoral training. After graduation and during post-doctoral work Dipak Sarker worked for the Swiss pharmaceutical company, Hoffman-La Roche and the renowned pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline as a validation and quality assurance expert.
