We are able to offer opportunities to study for research studentships in each of our four research areas:
- Disease Processes
- Biomedical Materials and Medical Devices
- Chemical Biology
- Biogeography and Ecology
Please note, the availability of funding for postgraduate studies varies throughout the year and we are not currently in a position to offer funded studentships. When these studentships are available we will advertise them on these pages, as well as http://www.jobs.ac.uk and in publications such as Nature and New Scientist.
King Saud University Joint Programme
Under this programme, staff at the College of Pharmacy, King Saud University, KSA (http://pharmacy.ksu.edu.sa/en/) are able to register for a PhD at the University of Brighton and to conduct their research in Saudi Arabia under the joint supervision of a local supervisor and a supervisor from Brighton. Students must spend some time each year in Brighton and the Brighton supervisor visits Riyadh annually. All areas of research are possible; see http://www.brighton.ac.uk/pharmacy/research/ for descriptions of ongoing research. Please contact a potential supervisor directly, or contact Dr Paul Gard (p.r.gard@brighton.ac.uk) to discuss future research plans and possible PhD projects.
