Recruiting for September 2010

The School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences is proud to announce the development of three new masters courses in Biomedical Sciences, Industrial Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacology. Applications are now being accepted for September 2010 entry.

These new courses have been developed in close consultation with industry and address skills gaps in these specialist fields. Students are equipped with high level of scientific training in their chosen area and have opportunities to specialise in a wide range of areas including diabetes and medical genetics.  Students who successfully complete these courses will also find themselves well placed to embark upon careers in industry, health care or to go on to research study.

Students on these courses will have access to the school’s full range of laboratories, teaching and research facilities including the new Huxley building, which houses teaching rooms, laboratories and student study space.
These courses build on the university’s reputation for providing high quality professional courses, which equip students with a range of relevant work-based skills.

The launch of the new courses coincides with overseas visits by two senior members of staff in the Faculty of Science and Engineering. Andrew Lloyd, Dean of the Faculty and Jon Cohen, Dean of Brighton and Sussex Medical School, are attending the British Council Education UK exhibition in Malaysia on 20 March. During their visit they will also be giving a joint seminar on pharmacy and medicine.
