The School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences held its’ Postgraduate Annual Research Presentation (PARP) day on the 19th of July in the Huxley lecture theatre in the brand new Centre for Biomedical & Health Science Research (CBHSR). This day gives the postgraduate research students (PhD And MRes) the opportunity to present their research in a conference style event, made up of short talks (1st year PhD & MRes students) and poster presentations (2nd year PhD students) . Fisher Scientific sponsored the prizes awarded. There were two prizes on for the oral presentation (£200) and one for the best poster presentation (£50). Fisher also attended the event and exhibited some of their products.

Dr Moira Harrison, the Research student division leader, says “the standard and variety of the presentations have improved every year and this year, the 10th anniversary of PARP day, was no exception. The students all gave excellent presentations and showcased the world leading research being conducted within the School of Pharmacy & Biomolecular Science.”
