April 8th 2011 saw the formal signing of an agreement between The School of Pharmacy & Biomolecular Sciences and King Saud University, Saudi Arabia for the joint supervision of PhD programmes in the areas of pharmacy, pharmacology and pharmaceutical sciences.
The agreement was signed by Professor Stuart Laing, Deputy Vice Chancellor UoB (centre right) and Dr Ibrahim Alharkan Director of External Joint Supervision Program, King Saud University (centre left). Also in attendance were Professor Andrew Lloyd, Dean of Faculty of Science and Engineering UoB (right) and Dr Paul Gard, Assistant Head of the School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences (left). Dr Nadia Al Ghremil, Vice-Dean for Female Student Affairs, King Saud &University was also in attendance. The agreement is part of the “Expanding Our Horizons” programme of King Saud University.
