What our students say

Gurpreet Singh Lall: Pharmacy MPharm(Hons)

I had some of the best days of my life at Brighton, and I can remember those days as if they were yesterday. When I first started at the university, I did not know what to expect and it seemed to me that everybody else in my year was smarter and more determined than me. All I know now is that during the four years that I was at the university each and every one of the members of my year and teaching staff became my close friends and we shared some memorable moments together both inside and outside the lecture theatre.

It was easy going for a pint with fellow students and helping each other through lab assignments etc, but it was really refreshing when we were joined by members of the teaching staff, all of whom we got along with very well and who were the most approachable and helpful, no matter how trivial the request.

I feel today, looking around at graduates from other universities that I did get the best education available. Some of the principles ingrained in us during those four years have never been forgotten, mainly due to the charismatic nature of some of our lecturers, but also due to the fact that the education and knowledge learnt never felt irrelevant. I have been able to apply all my knowledge in practice and I feel this is clearly reflected in the level of service I am able to provide to my patients on a daily basis.
