The Disease Processes researchers carry out basic research related to understanding the genetic, cellular, biochemical and molecular mechanisms of chronic disease, hospital infections, ageing and cell senescence. Chronic diseases investigated are autoimmune diabetes, maturity onset diabetes, depression, addiction, lung disease cardiovascular and kidney disease.
