Undergraduate degree courses

The general minimum entry requirements for our undergraduate degree courses are:

  • Two A-levels + at least three GCSEs (must include mathematics and English) minimum grade C

OR

  • A National Certificate + at least three GCSEs (must include mathematics and English) minimum grade C

OR

  • A pass in a QAA-approved access course.

However, the offer of a place on a course will usually require more than the minimum requirements.

We welcome applications from students with qualifications and experience beyond the traditional A-level route. Relevant experience will also be taken into account and may be equivalent to formal qualifications.

See our information on alternative qualifications.

English language requirements

Most courses require evidence that you can communicate effectively in English. If your first language is not English, you will normally need one of the following qualifications. Where a range is indicated, the exact grade you need will depend on the subject you want to study.
