Prospective students at the University of Brighton

Full-time or part-time?

Attendance options

Many of our undergraduate courses offer flexible attendance options. This can work in a number of ways.

Part-time study

Many of our students have to combine work, study and other life commitments so we are continually working to improve access to our courses. Part-time options exist for many courses and some are also available on a distance learning basis.

Sandwich year and work placement opportunities

To make the most of your university experience you may choose to spend a year on paid work placement or studying abroad.

The university's professional focus means that many of our courses offer a 'sandwich option' - the opportunity to spend a year on placement gaining valuable work-based experience and making contact with potential employers.

Enhance your qualification

If you already hold a foundation degree Higher National Diploma (HND), Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE) or a  Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) you could choose to return to study at a later date and 'top up' to an hounours degree with another one or two years of study. See top-up degrees.
