Many of our students have to combine work, study and childcare commitments and we are continually working to improve access to our courses and provide support services student parents.
Childcare
If you are studying or working at university, we have two nurseries that provide high quality childcare for students, staff and local parents.
Student parents pay fees related to income and fees for students' children are subsidised by the university.
If you have school-age children you can take advantage of the half-term activity weeks organised by the students' union and the local council's after-school clubs.

Flexible part-time and distance study options
Part-time options exist for many courses, with some also available on a distance learning basis. You will find details of these options with the course details in our course finder.
