A University of Brighton student has been chosen to showcase her research on ageing at the House of Commons.
Aamira Iqbal, a PhD student studying bioscience, is contributing to research aimed at understanding the ageing process and finding treatments for associated diseases.
She will be displaying a poster on her work in the House on 14 March for a competition run by SET for Britain, the Parliamentary and Scientific Committee organisation which encourages early-career research scientists, engineers and technologists.
They describe the work of researchers such as Aamir as "a vital asset and investment for the UK". Contest winners receive medals.
