Our Doctoral College

The postgraduate researcher environment is faciliated by the University of Brighton Doctoral College - a collective of research degree students, their supervisors, directors of postgraduate studies and specialist research degree administrators. All postgraduate research students are members of the Doctoral College.

This is an active university community of researchers driven by inter-professional and inter-discplinary dialogue and peer learning, blurring the boundaries between subjects, exploring and critiquing a variety of 'truths'.

With strong connections to regional, national and international research networks, to industry, to public services and to professional associations, we provide opportunities for collaborative working and alternative funding streams including through studentships, scholarships and consortium bids.

Highly trained staff

Our highly qualified Doctoral College staff are on hand to provide advice and representation for students considering research study and for current postgraduate student researchers.
