Biography

BA (Hons) Sport and Recreation Studies (Staffordshire University); PhD (Staffordshire University); PGCE (Further and Higher Education - Manchester Metropolitan University).

Marc is Assistant Head of School with responsibility for the portfolio of student and staff experience. A recipient of learning and teaching awards from the University and the Student Union’s annual excellence awards, Marc works particularly closely with a range of employers to offer social and community engagement opportunities, within and outside of the curriculum. He is currently working on research projects related to the politics of sport policy and development.

  • Referee for a range of journals such as: Leisure Studies; International Review of Sociology of Sport; Managing Leisure; Journal of Southern African Studies; and for publishers such as Routledge and Palgrave.
