Biography

B.Sc. (Hon) Sports Science (Chichester); P.G.C.E. (Post-Compulsory Education) (Portsmouth); M.Phil. Applied Psychology (Sheffield Hallam); BASES Accredited Sport Psychologist (Support).

Bill Filby teaches predominantly within the areas of sport and exercise psychology and motor learning. He is an applied sport psychology consultant to performers in a range of sports.  His main area of academic interest is the application of goal-setting theory to sports training and competition.   He is also the Admissions & Marketing Coordinator for the Chelsea School.

  • External examiner Napier University (BSc Sport & Exercise Science).
  • Supervisor within British Association of Sport & Exercise Science accreditation scheme.
  • Visiting lecturer at University of Chichester (MSc Sport Psychology).
  • Formally book review editor for BASES World magazine.  Reviewer for Journal of Applied Sport Psychology, European Journal of Physical Education, Human Kinetics and Pearson Group.
