Profile

Mercedita (Merz) is responsible for the provision of effective and efficient support to the administrative and information needs of the School's research projects, programmes and related activities.

She provides admin support to the Head of Research and the Director of Centre for Tourism Policy Studies (CENTOPS). She is also responsible for the administration of the research degree programme in liaison with the Research Student Division Leader.

Merz works closely with Conference Conveners in organising and running of the School's international academic conferences. She also helps facilitate the review process, as well as, assist the academic staff editor in the copy editing of academic papers for publication in edited books and special issues of journals.

Merz has a first degree in accounting and has recently been awarded an MA International Event Management qualification, with organising international academic conferences as subject of her dissertation.
