Award for Acting Head of School

Dr Steven Goss-Turner, Acting Head of the School of Service Management has won an award for “Services to Education” at the recent Eastbourne Achievers Awards Ceremony, held at the Winter Gardens venue on 20 April.

The award is in recognition of Steven’s 21 years at the University of Brighton’s Eastbourne Campus, his current work as Chair of the Eastbourne Education / Business Partnership and his chairing, and his period as President of the Eastbourne and District Chamber of Commerce, including his leading of the Chamber’s Training and Education group.

It was also noted that his research and writing on human resource management and the hospitality industry has been highly relevant to the local economy.
