PGCE students organise swimming gala

Published 9 July 2012

Pupils from the Headstart School in East Sussex recently took part in a swimming gala organised by PGCE Physical Education trainee teachers from Chelsea School of Sport.

Pupils were involved in a series of water-based activities designed to help them co-operate and work effectively as a team.

The event was facilitated by PGCE PE pathway leader Dr Gary Stidder. He said: “This was fantastic way of engaging children from our local community who would not otherwise have an opportunity to take part in an event like this.”
