A key event of the week was a reception where students from across the school met staff and colleagues before being welcomed by the Head of School, Professor Jo Doust.

The week culminated in an enjoyable two days at the International Tennis Centre in Eastbourne, where students participated in workshops on topics such as critical thinking, cultural difference and similarity, and the postgraduate learning experience.

Students also worked together on a range of short presentations related to their areas of study, and these included topics such as ‘The globalisation of events’, ‘Slum tourism’, ‘Michelin-starred restaurants and their impact on the hospitality industry’ and ‘The decrease in public sector funding for the Arts since 2009’.
