Research in the Sport and Exercise laboratories
Over the past year the laboratories have appeared in BBC Horizon, BBC Bang Goes the Theory, BBC South East and more recently filming for Sky TV.
The laboratories have also been used to test out products for exercising and weight loss, prepare athletes for the Olympics and Paralympics, as well as numerous high profile research projects.
Senior lecturer and director of the labs, Dr Gary Brickley said: “The BASES process is not a simple task and demonstrates we can deliver a vast range of support services. We have one of the best laboratories in the country that are heavily used by our students, staff and researchers.
“I would like to thank Tim Jones, Alex Bliss and Tom Howes specifically for the help in the build-up to the visit and everyone else who helped to contribute.”
The accreditation will last for five years.
