We have two newsrooms, both equipped with the latest technology. You will have access to the latest software, which allows you to design pages in the same manner as national newspaper and magazine journalists.

Students run the course webzine Overtime, which enables you to practice your skills in real time for public consumption.

We offer an array of placements at leading media outlets such as the Daily Mail, the Guardian, Arsenal football club, Hayters, the country’s leading sports agency and Givemefootball.com.

Our lecturers are all renowned in their field and offer a wide range of expertise.

Major honours degree

Graduates leave the university with a range of highly marketable graduate skills, knowledge and confidence, and a full honours degree. The final year dissertation allows you to research a major piece of investigative journalism.

Graduate opportunities

Graduates have gone on to careers across the industry – on national and local newspapers, in magazines, broadcasting and on the web, at football clubs and with sporting governing bodies.

Graduates work at The Sun, Sky Sport News, International Cricket Council and Chelsea football club. Other graduates have gone into teaching, recruitment and public relations at institutions ranging from the NHS to the BBC.
