Postgraduate courses in Tourism

Tourism is one of the world’s fastest growing industries and offers a wealth of opportunities. Tourism provides a wide range of jobs and opportunities, from community-based projects in developing countries to managing a business.

Career opportunities include management of tourist attractions, work in cultural heritage, running your own business, destination marketing and international tourism consultancy.

We offer three postgraduate courses in Tourism:

The course is taught at the Eastbourne campus, which is home to 3,000 students and located less than 10 minutes from the beach at the foot of the South Downs National Park.

Global outlook

We are proud of our international partnerships and outlook, the opportunities we offer to study outside the UK and the insights and contribution made by our community of staff and students drawn from over 60 countries.

This course is available through the extended masters route which allows you to combine your degree with an English language course if English is not your first language.

You can typically obtain a single UK visa to cover both parts of your study. Depending on your current language level you will study English for between two and six months before starting your masters course.

Career opportunities from our tourism courses include tour operations/ travel companies, tourism consultancy, museums, the arts and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in many global destinations.

Students from our postgraduate courses have gone on to take up roles including: Tourism Concept Development Agency, manager; Brighton and Hove City Council; head of tourism and venues; City College Brighton, lecturer in business and tourism; Deloitte & Touche, business analyst/ consultant, and American Express, operations manager.
