International Hospitality Management BA(Hons)
Five years ago I started a very exciting journey with the University of Brighton at the Eastbourne campus. As an international student from Lithuania, I spent four very colourful years at the University of Brighton - I graduated with a degree in International Hospitality Management 12 months ago.
"With sleepless nights, sometimes because of the deadlines, sometimes because of the parties, with the help of tutors and wonderful friends that I made here I can now truly say I have fulfilled my dream. I am part of the sales team at the Hilton hotel and I am confident that I will move onwards and upwards with my career with Hilton hotels.
I also gained an invaluable experience in the hospitality industry while working in a luxury five-star hotel in London as part of my placement year. I would like to take this opportunity to thank my tutor Gillian Parfitt for making such an important contribution to my future.
With the knowledge and experience I have gained during my course, I have now been a team member for one of the largest and most widely recognised hotel chains in the world.
I am proud to say that the University of Brighton has given me the best platform from which to start my very exciting career in the hotel industry. I had the chance to choose a job that I love and I can tell you very honestly that it is a joy to come to work everyday. Even on the busiest and most stressful days, I don’t feel like I’m working."

Sport and Exercise Science MSc
"I decided to take up this course, as I am passionate about sports and enjoy working with athletes. As I had already completed my undergraduate degree in physiotherapy, I felt an MSc in Sport Science would provide me with much needed technical knowledge of sports.
"The highlight of the course is the exposure that I am getting to the latest developments and technology used in sports such as recovery monitoring, fatigue assessment and biomechanics of movements. Secondly, it is great to hear about the life experiences of guest speakers in the Professional Enquiry module, which shed light on the career possibilities after the course. This in turn gave an insight into the practical application of the skills learned during the course.
"I believe that an MSc in Sport and Exercise Science will not only enable me to work in the sports environment but will also increase my knowledge in the science involved in interpretation of data analysis. I plan to use my new knowledge to work with athletes and sportspersons in my home country of India where it is still a developing field."

International Tourism Management BA(Hons)
As an international student there were three main reasons I studied this course at the University of Brighton.
Firstly, the school is known to be one of the best places in the UK for this particular degree. We are lectured by distinguished academics in the fields of Niche and Sustainable Tourism.
Secondly, it is a truly international university which welcomes international students and allows them to meet one another through the numerous events organised by the International Students Society (ISS).
Thirdly, I was attracted by the opportunity of undertaking a placement year. This is something I believe will make me more competitive in the job market once I graduate. I have just finished my placement in The Gambia, West Africa, working for the number one Ethical Travel Destination in the world, Sandele Eco-Retreat - a priceless experience.
