Mediasport Practices and Discourse
Mediasport Practices and Discourses emerges out the long established tradition of teaching, research and scholarship on the media and media related areas within the school. Beyond teaching, the Media related activities of staff can loosely be grouped under following headings: the study of media representation and discourses, media and cultural theory, media consumption, journalism practices, documentary, and film studies; and professional practices such as different kinds of journalism (including feature writing, e-zines, blogging, creative writing, media activism), and documentary filmmaking.
Mediasport Practices and Discourses provides a base for the diverse research and professional based activities on the sports media in the Chelsea School of Sport, to facilitate collaborations between colleagues in the school, as well as the University and beyond.
