Community University Partnership Programme (Cupp)

SASS has hosted Cupp (www.cupp.org.uk) since 2004 and Cupp's work is significantly entwined with the school. In teaching terms, SASS and Cupp co-manage the Community, Participation and Development module that provides a huge variety of options for students to engage in purposeful community activity as part of their studies.

Cupp has linked the school with its many community and voluntary sector contacts and has helped develop the curriculum to better meet the needs of people working in Community Practice. Cupp and SASS have also worked together on many community research projects, and Cupp has had a particularly close working relationship with the school's research centre, the Social Science Policy and Research Centre.
