Developing learning and teaching for the Voluntary and Community Sector

Dee MacDonald, Research Fellow within the Social Science Policy and Research Centre, has been seconded to Cupp to carry out development work for the Sussex Learning Network. In collaboration with CCE at the University of Sussex, this work centres on identifying, developing and supporting qualifications which are relevant to those working in the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) across Sussex.

Supported by the SLN, SASS have welcomed the opportunity of collaborating with a local VCS training provider with a view to developing further the content and delivery of the Masters in Public Partnership Management (Voluntary sector strand).

Staff from SASS look forward to working closely with colleagues from the Brighton and Hove Working Together Project to explore what innovations are needed and appropriate, and how the expertise from each organisation can best be used to ensure the qualification remains relevant and useful to the sector.
