The University of Brighton has over 2100 staff working on four campuses in Brighton and Eastbourne. The School of Applied Social Science is based in the new Mayfield House building of the Falmer campus, and has over 50 staff.
All staff, academic, administrative, support and technical, play a role in supporting students and contribute to the teaching, research and consultancy achievements of the university. In the last ten years we have been one of the fastest growing social science schools in the UK, increasing the quality and volume of our courses and research outputs.
The university is committed to equality of opportunity, encouraging professional and personal development and family-friendly and flexible working policies.
Staff have access to a wide range of learning and career development opportunities. A fee waiver scheme offers opportunities to access courses run by Brighton, the University of Sussex and City College Brighton and Hove.
Other benefits include occupational pension schemes, access to a range of university facilities including libraries and sport and recreation services. University nurseries are open to both staff and student parents.
