Main interests

Until this year my primary role was the co-ordination and development of Making Research Count Brighton, a subscription-based partnership with local authorities developing evidence-informed practice in social work, social care and the interfaces with health and education.

In the last few years my research interests have mainly centred around older people and care practice, particularly the prevention and personalisation agendas. Most recently I have developed an interest in working creatively with people with dementia, particularly with dance. I am working in partnership with other academics and practitioners to develop this work and we have recently concluded a short pilot study.
