The School of Applied Social Science is located on the attractive Falmer campus of the university, approximately four miles from the centre of Brighton. The campus is well served by public transport, being only eight minutes by train from the city centre. Nevertheless, the rural campus is only a few miles from the South Downs Way and the outstanding area of natural beauty that forms the South Downs.
Facilities on Falmer campus include:
- computer centre, library and a media resources centre for student use, with extensive opening hours
- accommodation for approximately 400 students
- refectory, cafeteria, a student union bar, and shops
- careers office, a doctor's surgery and clinic and the student counselling services
The Falmer campus allows students to feel part of a small, intimate campus, while still being part of a larger university network with an impressive range of services and opportunities.
