What our students say
Students on the Brighton MPA are selected because of their active interest in both UK and international politics, recognising that issues such as economic stability, environmental sustainability and human security cannot be considered in isolation. Our worlds are interconnected and our understanding of human needs, rights and social justice include and extend beyond the immediate concerns of our own communities. Brighton MPA students seek to learn about these interconnections through actively participating in classroom discussion where they will meet a range of different people with a range of different backgrounds and experience. Some students may have considerable professional experience others may not, some students may be widely travelled others may never have left their own country. The Brighton MPA learning experience is one where differences in experience are taken as opportunities for learning from each other and enriching our understanding of the world.
"Doing this course in the UK has given me a reference point in terms of comparing issues and analysing them from an international perspective. The level of support from the university and the structure and organisation of the course was exceptional and I believe that the University of Brighton is one of the best universities offering this course in the UK..."
Masters in Public Administration Graduate 2010-11, Mr Ezekiel Garang
"The Brighton MPA gave me the knowledge to understand contemporary, global challenges in the field of Public Service Management. It is an innovative programme which was adapted to my needs and interests, providing me with knowledge and research skills that have enriched my professional horizons. It was a unique educational experience for me. If I had the chance I would repeat my year at the University of Brighton all over again, without a second thought..."
