There are two SASS undergraduate scholarships provided by Santander Universities worth £3,000 each for September 2012. The terms and conditions of these scholarships are listed below.
The two scholarships (worth £1,000 per annum over 3 years of study) are open to all new SASS undergraduate students from the following countries:
- Argentina
- Brazil
- Chile
- China
- Colombia
- Mexico
- Portugal
- Puerto Rico
- Russia
- Singapore
- Spain
- Uruguay
- U.S.A
- Venezuela
The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of a 1,200-word essay entitled: Why I wish to study in the School of Applied Social Science.
Our school's team of admissions tutors and the assistant head of school will review the applications based upon the following specific criteria:
- You must produce an essay in the required standard form (introduction, main body, conclusion)
- Employ good use of the English language
- Show knowledge of the course for which you are applying
- Demonstrate commitment to the School of Applied Social Science
- Explain why you should be considered for this prestigious Santander scholarship
The deadline for essay submission is Friday 20 July 2012 with a decision being made on 27 July 2012. Please email your entry to K.Lownds@brighton.ac.uk with the subject title 'SASS undergraduate scholarships'.
