Our congratulations go to three graduating students who have won the annual School of Applied Social Science prizes. Samuel Barr-Worsfold, Politics and Sociology BA(Hons), has been awarded the Sandra Winn prize which recognises the student who has made the greatest academic improvement from their first year to their final year. Samuel improved his grade point average by a remarkable 20 points and will be graduating with a strong 2:1 degree. The school wishes Samuel well for the future.

Richard Renson, Politics and Applied Psychology BA(Hons) and Michael Bryden, Criminology and Social Policy BA(Hons) were jointly awarded the Hamilton-Cramp prize which goes to the student who has combined academic achievement with an outstanding contribution to the school community. In addition to achieving good results throughout their degree courses, both students volunteered on numerous occasions at open days and with school events. Their efforts have helped potential applicants decide to make us their first choice and the school is delighted to recognise their hard work with this award.

Our congratulations to all three graduands for their successes, we wish them well for the future.
