Substance misuse intervention strategies

Our innovative Criminology and Substance Misuse Interventions BA(Hons) degree provides an exciting opportunity to combine rigorous, critical and theoretical analysis of crime, criminality and justice with a vocational component designed for students who wish to become practitioners in the drug and alcohol sector. Through the use of placements with substance misuse and associated service providers from across the South-East region, students will be introduced to the broad range of interdisciplinary theory underpinning substance misuse practice. Students will develop the core skills necessary to work within this challenging and rewarding sector and evidence these skills by completion of National Occupational Standards. These standards are widely recognised throughout the health and justice sectors.

Professional accreditation

Completion of this qualification will lead to certification with the Federation of Drug and Alcohol Professionals.
