Enterprise Award
The winner of this year’s University Enterprise Award, sponsored by the university, and part of the Sussex Business Awards, is Paxton Access Ltd.
Paxton Access Ltd of Brighton design and manufacture high-tech door-entry systems. The company has a strong relationship with the School of Engineering, employing graduates, taking students on placement and working with the school on technically challenging problems.
The company has also undertaken a very successful Knowledge Transfer Partnership programme with the university.
The award was presented by Andrew Toal, head of Business Services, at a ceremony held at Copthorne Effingham Park Hotel, Gatwick on 18 November. The university was further represented by David Knowles of CENTRIM and Mark Jones, head of the School of Engineering.
