Staff and students from the School of Engineering were on hand to ensure fair play at the national final of the Greenpower formula 24 schools electric car marathon held at Goodwood Motor Circuit on 10 October. As scrutineers, they made sure that the 73 cars entered into the Greenpower competition conformed to race rules and were safe to tackle the 170-mile marathon.

The university had its own marquee at the event where staff from the School of Engineering, Business Services and Setpoint answered questions about the university from prospective students and their parents and teachers.

The School of Engineering also organised off-track antweight robot games in which youngsters made their own robots.
