Funders and partners

Screen Archive South East exists because its mission is shared by a number of local authorities and institutions across the South East. The University of Brighton and West Sussex Record Office (West Sussex County Council) are the lead partners and they are joined by the Brighton & Hove Museum Service, East Sussex Record Office (East Sussex County Council), the Kent Archive Service (Kent County Council) and the Surrey History Centre (Surrey County Council).

The Screen Archive receives annual revenue funding from Screen South, the regional screen agency.

From 2000 to 2005, the Screen Archive was a corporate partner of the Arts & Humanities Research Council’s Centre for British Film & Television Studies. The Screen Archive led this consortium’s archive strand and was responsible was the development and construction of Moving History, a guide to the UK’s public sector moving image archives.

The Screen Archive has also run several projects with funding from the The Heritage Lottery Fund. Current projects include Movies and Memories, featuring oral history and reminiscence activities during 2012/13 along the West Sussex coast.
