About SDeCU
The University has committed to a broad institution-wide approach to sustainable development, and seeks to pursue this by dividing its reporting and activity planning into a number of key areas, including
- Teaching and learning
- Research
- Economic and Social Engagement
- Infrastructure
- Communications
- Staff and Student experience.
The Sustainable Development Coordination Unit, SDeCU, was set up to co-ordinate sustainable development activities across the university. Sustainable Development Facilitator Prof. Marie Harder, assisted by Elona Hoover, seek, where possible, to seed, enable, link up and consolidate sustainable development activities between the various areas of the university.
SDeCU also has its own specific research projects in relation to indicators for human values in organisations and businesses, as well was waste and energy monitoring and research projects. Visit the Research section for more information
