The School of Environment and Technology has been the venue for the Engineering Education Scheme residential workshop and celebration and assessment day for the past 2 years.
The Engineering Education Scheme in England encourages students in Year 12 to recognise the importance of engineering by providing an opportunity to experience a challenging project in partnership with industry.
The event is organised by STEM Sussex which is based at the university. STEM Sussex informs teachers, business and industry about resources, schemes and initiatives concerned with science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Students studying at the university have the opportunity to become Science and Engineering Ambassadors and lend their support to the workshops and assessment day.
The events been enjoyed by all and have been a great success.
