This might be your first experience of Higher Education, or you may be planning a PhD. Either way, the School of Environment and Technology has learning support staff dedicated to helping you make the most of your time at Brighton.
Technical support
Over 20 technical staff are on hand to offer research and course support. In some cases staff can offer you one-to-one tutorials in areas such as the use of specific machinery, IT and safety.
Study support
You will meet your personal tutor soon after the start of term. As well as meeting them regularly to review your academic progress, you can contact them to discuss any personal concerns. Administrative support
If you need timetables for lectures and exams, course handbooks, announcements about changes in timetables, various forms or answers to general queries, you can visit the school office in C228.

As well as the University's general library support staff, there are two specialist librarians in Aldrich library to assist you.
Maths and stats support
The maths and stats support unit is on hand if you need help during your first year or for your final-year project.
