NERC-funded PhD studentship available to work on the World's largest rivers

A fully-funded Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) PhD studentship is available from October 2012 to work on the channel patterns, dynamics and hydraulic connectivity of the World's largest rivers. The principal supervisor will be Prof. Phil Ashworth . The NERC studentship will provide a full RCUK stipend and university fees for 3.5 years and a Research Training Support Grant of up to £10K to support fieldwork and conference attendance. There may be opportunity to work alongside ongoing projects on large rivers and estuaries. A full project background will be available in the coming months.
