Based in the Cockcroft Building near central Brighton, the School of Environment and Technology combines a vibrant location with superb facilities, numerous commercial links and expert staff.
We offer courses in the following subject areas:
You will meet students from all backgrounds, learning from each others' experience as well as from teaching staff and industry professionals. With over 100 staff engaged in research, and over 50 PhD students, you will be part of an active, supportive research community.
You will have access to state-of-the-art equipment across and beyond the School, whether your interest lies in sourcing human and animal pollution, flight testing, land surveying or computer-aided design.
Your course will include hands-on practice, group work and an extended project, as well as the option of a paid placement. These aspects prepare you for the workplace and enable you to develop industry contacts, giving your career a head start.
In your spare time, you will have plenty to do. Brighton is one of the liveliest and sunniest parts of the UK, nestled in the South Downs National Park and close to the sea. With arts, culture, sport, clubbing and shopping, there's something for everyone.
You can see what our students say about their time here, or come and meet us at an open day.
