Funding and travel
Becoming a nurse or midwife (pre-registration courses)
There are no tuition fees for any of the following courses:
- BSc (Hons) Nursing (Adult, Mental Health, or Child)
- BSc (Hons) Midwifery - 3 year course
- BSc (Hons) Midwifery - 18 month course
However, applicants must satisfy the eligibility criteria for a funded NHS place. The school cannot consider applicants who do not meet the residency requirements.
Students on the BSc (Hons) Midwifery (18 month course) will be seconded by their supporting trust.
Bursaries
Students studying for the BSc (Hons) Nursing and BSc (Hons) Midwifery (3 year course) may apply for a means-tested bursary.

Travel
On all pre-registration courses, students will be required to travel for theory and practice placements.
Students in receipt of a bursary will have travel expenses reimbursed in accordance with the rules and regulations laid down by the NHS Executive.
Continuing professional education (post-registration courses)
