Learning support

The University of Brighton is committed to supporting students and support is available on a range of issues including learning support and welfare through our Student Services department.

Information about financial support can be found on the NHS Business Services Authority website.

Information about child care can be found on the university's welfare and advice pages.

All students are supported by a personal tutor and mentors in clinical practice. In addition students have access to the Disability Liaison Tutor to provide advice and support on a wide range of issues, including health, wellbeing and disability, in the transition to becoming a nursing, midwifery or paramedic practice student at the University of Brighton.

The SNM has a positive outlook on the contribution students with impairments can play in this school, in placement learning and in professional practice.

If you are thinking of nursing, midwifery or paramedic practice as a career and would like the Disability Liaison Tutor to contact you to discuss your individual needs please email Kathy Martyn K.J.Martyn@brighton.ac.uk
