NHS-funded (no fees) – undergraduate and masters courses available for September 2013
- Specialist Community Public Health Nursing BSc(Hons)
- Specialist Community Public Health Nursing MSc (PG Dip, PG Cert)
The government's 'Action on health visiting' programme has increased opportunities to qualify as a health visitor. You would be sponsored by a local health trust for the one year duration of the courses which are delivered at both undergraduate and masters levels. On successful completion you will gain an academic award and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a specialist community public health nurse: health visiting.
To be eligible for the course you need to have an active registration as a nurse in any field of practice, or as a midwife.
Recruitment for February 2013 is now closed. The next available course starts in September 2013, and application details will be made available on this webpage in January 2013.
Health visiting open days – February 2013
Come along to the Falmer campus and meet us on either Saturday 2 February 2013 10am-12.30pm or Saturday 9 February 2013 10am-12.30pm. Information will be provided about health visiting, studying at University of Brighton, funding, how to apply, and preparing for an interview. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
