The National Student Survey (NSS) is currently taking place for final year undergraduate students to feedback about their time at university.

The results provide valuable insight into the student experience and are used to make improvements across the university.

Last year 82% of students studying nursing said they were satisfied with their time at university. They praised staff for making subjects interesting, explaining them well, for being enthusiastic and making courses intellectually stimulating. An increasing number of students thought their courses had made them more confident and had helped improve their communication skills.

Student comments also tell us where we need to improve. For example, in a past survey students told us that they needed more support during placements, so we created a dedicated team of staff to be based at each placement location and arranged drop-in sessions so students can discuss placements with staff.

We hope that final-year students complete the NSS to feedback about their course and time at university so helping the university continue to be a place you are proud of. But we are also offering students the chance to win an Amazon voucher and help raise funds for Students Union as an incentive to complete the survey.
