Professor Shirley Bach, head of the School of Nursing and Midwifery, recently gave the keynote lecture at the annual conference of the Malaysian nurses association to celebrate Florence Nightingale's birthday on International Nurses Day (12 May) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The theme of the conference was 'Closing the gap; from evidence to action' and it was attended by the Minister of Health and 2,400 Malaysian nurses. The title of Professor Bach's presentation was 'Nurse sensitive patient outcomes'.
