Dr Nigel Sherriff and Dr Lisa Gugglberger from the Centre for Health Research (CHR) have recently travelled to Luxembourg to mark the launch of the EC-co-funded Action for Health Project.
As leaders for two work pacakages, the first meeting saw two presentations from the CHR staff relating to evaluation and reducing health inequalities through structural funds. CHR will be involved in both evaluating the project outcomes, as well as playing a key role in building the capacity of public health professionals with regards to reducing health inequalities.
A follow-up meeting will be held in Murska Sobota (Slovenia) in March 2013.
