Dr Nigel Sherriff and Carol Williams from the Centre for Health Research (CHR) have recently travelled to a snowy Luxembourg for the launch of an EC-co-funded project aiming to promote healthy eating and physical activity in local communities in Europe.

The HEPCOM project, will be developing a web-based platform/dissemination website for sharing experiences, practical tools and lessons learnt from EU obesity prevention projects. The University of Brighton is the British partner working on the three-year project with partners from 15 other countries. CHR will be involved in pilot testing and capacity building with local communities.
