Health and Management MSc
"Wow what a journey! Sometimes I thought that I would never complete my masters – things were so rarely straightforward. I overcame many adversities and challenges along the way, including fitting my studies in around a full-time job which involves 12.5 hour shifts and changing my job halfway through the course to take on a trust-wide responsibility. Also, my grandson was born in 2008 with a heart defect which meant regular visits with him to the hospital. He's now a healthy little boy and through his first birthday.
"I couldn't have completed the course without my supervisor, Helen Stanley, who believed in me and helped me renew my self-belief. I am really grateful for the support systems that the University of Brighton had in place to help me realise my dream."
