Admissions

Applying for our courses

In the School of Health Professions all applications receive individual and personal attention from our dedicated admissions teams. We look for applicants who have some insight into the subject area and demonstrate good interpersonal skills. In addition we consider work and personal experience and qualifications, and welcome applications for our wide range of pre-registration and post-registration courses.

Unlike some institutions we believe in the importance of offering interviews to potential candidates for our courses. We use interviews not only to help us select students but because it gives candidates a valuable opportunity to visit Eastbourne and the school and to meet staff and students. This helps you to make an informed decision between the University of Brighton and other institutions that may subsequently offer you a place.

The school offers a wide range of courses from BSc to Doctoral level including a large portfolio of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) modules and courses.

Confirmation and clearing

We will confirm which students have been allocated places on our courses from mid-August, when A level results are published. If you get exactly what is specified in your offer you are guaranteed a place. If you do not get your grades, but are very close, there may be a chance that we can still offer you a place – this will depend on how full the course is. Please check with UCAS in this instance. If you are waiting on additional qualifications that are announced later in the month (e.g. GCSEs) and have met the other components of your offer, we will hold your place until all results are known.

To confirm whether we are offering any places through Clearing please visit www.ucas.com from mid-August onwards.
